Case for support

Fundraising is driven by passion and enabled by technique — first you target the heart, then the head.

A case for support is a document (ideally a one-pager) that puts emotion centre stage and answers basic questions that donors or funders are likely to have: What makes you special? What will you do with their money? And how can they be involved in your story?

The case for support can also be used as an internal document, especially as a basis from which to create marketing materials — website text, leaflets, emails, and prospectuses.
