Bella Schuster

Bella has a background in international relations and European affairs, with a masters in Cultural Diplomacy from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Rome, Italy) and a bachelor in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands). Her main interest is in researching and promoting the intrinsic and strategic importance of culture for international cooperation.

As a Consultant at TrueMotion, she coordinates the development and delivery of fundraising strategies and funding applications for many of our clients. Based in Lisbon, she’s in the process of setting up the Portuguese hub of TrueMotion together with Maureen Blache.

Before joining TrueMotion in 2021, she built her experience in research and European project development while working for IAI, a think tank based in Rome. In her research for the Institute for European Democrats, she developed an innovative approach to public-private partnerships and incentivising corporate support for the European cultural and creative sector.

Bella has an international background and is fluent in Dutch, English and Italian, and she’s currently learning Portuguese. In addition, she plays piano and works as an artist, her main media being aquarelle and sculpture — this helps her understand the dynamics of the creative process while applying a strategic European vision in her work at TrueMotion.
